The Peppercorn name goes back to George White, the tavern's original owner. After about forty years away, the old Peppercorn sign is back where it started, on Bindery Lane.
Dawn and Chris reopened the doors in 2024 as a rustic hometown bar with deep roots in Charlotteville. Come for a drink, stay for the music, and have one more before you go.

It's been a killer good season. The North is closed for the winter and reopens Thursday, April 1, 2027. Until then, the Tavern in Charlotteville is open year-round.
